Kate grew up in Norfolk, close to Wymondham, and has always felt a strong connection to the area. She studied Dentistry in Bristol, qualifying in 1996, and began her career as a Dental Surgeon in Bury St Edmunds, where she worked for two years. In 1998, Kate returned to Norfolk to start her oral surgery career at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, gaining her MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2000.

When Peppermint opened in 2007, Kate continued working at the hospital alongside growing the practice. She is now based solely at Peppermint and went on to gain her Diploma in Conscious Sedation from the University of Newca333stle in 2015.

Kate genuinely loves her work and takes great pride in providing oral surgery, dental implants and sedation for both adults and children. The most rewarding part of her job is helping anxious or fearful patients feel at ease and seeing them leave with a smile after a positive experience — often feeling proud of themselves for what they’ve achieved.

Michelle came to Norfolk in 2000 for an oral surgery post at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, which is when she met Kate. Michelle gained her MFDS from The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2000 and she won the prestigious presentation prize at The British Association of Oral Surgeons annual conference in 2006.

Michelle is a member of the Society for Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry.

In 2007 Peppermint Dental Centre opened and has since grown into a successful family dental practice. Very much at the forefront is Michelle’s special interest in Oral Surgery, Sedation and Dental Implants. These treatments are available for both our own Peppermint Patients and those referred from other practices.

When not at Peppermint, Michelle enjoys a busy family life with her husband, young son and 3 older stepsons.

Sara came to Peppermint in 2014.

Sara qualified as a dental nurse in 2007 going on to gain her dental nurse sedation qualification in 2009 and dental nurse implant qualification in 2017 and she has day to day responsibility managing the Practice, Sara is also the CQC Registered Manager.

Sara’s role is to maintain high standards of dental care and compliance as well as being able to take time to answer any questions or concerns patients may have. Sara has just recently gained her level 4 in Dental Practice Management.

In addition to working at Peppermint Dental Centre, Sara also works within dental education as a qualified Dental Nurse Assessor and Tutor for a local training company helping trainee dental nurses gain their qualifications

When Sara has a moments peace from the world of dentistry, she enjoys family time with her husband and their two boys and reading.

Sophie grew up on the Norfolk–Suffolk border and graduated with honours from Sheffield University in 2011. After qualifying, she spent seven years working locally within the NHS before joining the Peppermint team in August 2018.

Since then, Sophie has continued to expand her skill set, gaining certification in clinical hypnosis, anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, and clear aligner treatments. She is passionate about providing high-quality, minimally invasive general dentistry and enjoys helping patients feel confident, comfortable, and well cared for—whether they’re visiting for dental care or facial aesthetics.

Outside of work, Sophie enjoys fair-weather cycling, spending time with her young son and partner, scooting around on her Vespa, and playing the drums.

Samantha has over fifteen years experience as a dentist having qualified from Newcastle University and has been part of the team at Peppermint Dental Centre since 2019.

Sam has a particular interest in restorative and preventative dentistry and takes pride in helping patients maintain healthy smiles for the long term. Known for her calm and reassuring manner, she especially enjoys supporting nervous patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident during their visits.

Sam believes in using clear communication so that patients feel empowered to make decisions about their treatment and she strives to achieve an optimal outcome for each individual patient, providing high quality dental care is her top priority.

Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, her hobbies and interests include strength training, cooking, travelling abroad and skiing.

Jack joined the team at Peppermint Dental in July 2024.

Jack graduated from the University of Manchester in 2012; he followed this with a year in hospital as an oral surgery trainee. Since that time he has spent 10 years in general practice, homing his general restorative skills. Jack completed an advanced restorative 2-year programme under the guidance of Dominic Hassall, Solihull, ensuring he is able to offer you the most up to date methods of composite reconstruction of teeth, as well as highly cosmetic ceramic rehabilitations.

Jack prides himself on making your dental visits a comfortable experience with his quietly confident and calm approach ensuring that dental care is tailored to your requirements.  He values his communication skills ensuring that you’re always fully informed so you can make the best decision on treatment options.  Jack will help you to maintain your dental health as best as possible so active treatment can be prevented. Jack is also skilled in orthodontic treatment including aligners (clear braces), which can help to align the most crowded teeth to offer you a straight smile.

Jack really enjoys living close to his family and friends in Norfolk, s well as making the most of the county’s landscape and coastline.  Away from dentistry, Jack enjoys spending time with his family particularly, his 7-year-old nephew.  Jack really enjoys time outdoors and is a keen runner, completing the Dublin Marathon 2023 in a time of 2’42 hours.

Sue qualified from Guy’s Hospital, London in 1988 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. She has worked in general dental practice across various parts of the country and has been based in Norfolk for many years.

Sue joined Peppermint Dental initially as a locum and has been a permanent member of the team since 2019. Sue keeps abreast of developments within the industry through regular attendance of both Regional meetings and through regular CPD events. With her extensive experience, Sue is committed to providing high-quality preventive care and helping patients maintain long-term oral health in a calm and supportive environment.

Outside of work, Sue enjoys spending time with her family, walking, gardening, and being outdoors. She also has an interest in the theatre, cinema, and eating out.

Kelsey grew up in Norwich and studied at Wymondham high school and has now settled in Wymondham with her husband.

Away from work Kelsey attends weekly zumba classes and enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Lynsey started her career in dentistry in 1998 gaining her NEBDN qualification in dental nursing in 2000 after training in a sedation clinic in Norwich.  She has since gained the NEBDN Dental Radiography qualification in 2007 and the NEBDN sedation Nursing qualification in 2016.

Lynsey has been at Peppermint Dental since the beginning when the practice opened in 2007 and has the role of Senior Dental Nurse. You may see Lynsey if you have been referred to us for an x-ray as she helps us provide this service.

Lynsey is married and has two teenage daughters who keep her busy when she is not working and she enjoys nothing more than sunny holidays with her family and socialising with family and friend with a gin and tonic in hand!

Qualifying with a national diploma in 2006, Gisi started her dental career working in a busy NHS practice for 8 years and subsequently she completed various courses in extended duties for Dental Nurses. In 2013 she made the move to us here at Peppermint Dental Centre.

In 2019 Gisi gained her qualification in Sedation for dental nurses.

In her free time Gisi is kept busy with her husband and 2 daughters and then when time allows, baking all things sweet and delicious.

Nicola (“Nic”) qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2001 and joined Peppermint in 2013. During the intervening years, Nic worked as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinating Officer, specialising in supporting young children and their families within the Early Years Education System.

Nic is also a qualified Veterinary Nurse and transitioned from veterinary nursing to pursue a career in dentistry. Since returning to dental nursing in 2013, Nic has achieved post-graduate qualifications in Sedation Nursing through Guy’s Hospital, London, and gained a Radiography qualification in 2024.

Outside of work, Nic enjoys attending music gigs and festivals, often travelling in her campervan. Highly active and dedicated to sport, Nic spends most evenings officiating as an England Netball Umpire and is working towards the goal of umpiring at the Netball World Cup. Nic also serves as the Safeguarding Lead for the Netball community across Norfolk. You can often find Nic gliding over Norfolk’s waterways on her pink paddleboard.

Nic is deeply committed to charitable work, regularly raising funds and participating in monthly personal challenges. Each Christmas Day, Nic volunteers to host a festive event for hundreds of homeless guests.

Nic is mum to an amazing young adult who is her greatest achievement to date.

Nicol grew up in Norfolk and has been a member of the Peppermint team for over 13 years. She began her journey with Peppermint as a teenager, training on the job while studying for her Level 3 National Diploma in Dental Nursing, before qualifying through the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses. Following this, Nicol progressed to become Lead of Decontamination after completing her diploma.

Nicol is passionate about patient care and believes that simple acts of kindness and compassion, play a vital role in easing patient anxiety and supporting overall wellbeing.

Nicol married her husband in 2019 and is a happily busy mum to two little girls. She loves to laugh and enjoys spending meaningful time with her family, especially watching her children grow. She enjoys running, reading, and loves a good holiday.

Chelsea joined Peppermint Dental in February 2023 and has over 13 years of experience as a dental nurse.  She enjoys working with nervous patients and nursing for oral surgery and she is currently doing her sedation course.

Chelsea has her radiography qualification so she is able to help the dentists by taking X-rays when needed.

Outside of work Chelsea enjoys spending time her family and friends and in the warmer weather she loves to get out on the paddle board with her son and Doug the pug.

Chloe joined the practice in June 2023 as a trainee dental nurse bringing a calm and caring approach to patient care. Chloe the qualified as a dental nurse in November 2024 and is due to gain her NEBDN Dental Sedation Nursing certificate in April 2026. 

Chloe began her career working in hospital emergency theatres, gaining strong experience in patient safety and clinical support. She then decided to enter the dental sector in 2021 after discovering a keen interest when working in the hospital. 

Proudly patient-focused, Chloe is known for being friendly, trustworthy, and approachable, always aiming to make each visit as relaxed and positive as possible.

Outside the practice, Chloe enjoys time in the countryside her partner, his children and their six working spaniels.

Hilary joined the Peppermint team in May 2018 as a Dental Receptionist.

Hilary trained as a high school teacher at the University of Bradford and taught in schools in Hertfordshire and Essex. She took a professional break from teaching for a number of years during which she recruited candidates for the financial sector on behalf of a number of international banks and insurance companies.

When Hilary moved to a farm in Norfolk over 27 years ago, she swapped her city suits for overalls and wellies and spent much of her time milking goats, making cheese and helping out with the cows and pigs. She retrained to primary school teaching and taught at her local village school, teaching years 1 and 3.  Hilary was art coordinator and still enjoys art to this day, often dabbling at water colour painting.

Hilary loves travel, particularly cruising, she also loves the theatre, pilates, taking her dogs for walks and looking after far too many cats, but most of all, Hilary enjoys spending time with her daughter.

Mark joined the practice in 2019 having previously held positions of Bursar and Business Operations Manager for schools within both the state and independent sectors as well as having extensive commercial business and finance experience.

Mark has been the Practice Manager and CQC registered Manager since April 2019 but from February 2022 he now works part time managing the business & finance of the Practice. He deals with all matters financial and HR related and matters non-clinical relating to the Practice owners Kate & Michelle.
