Oral cancer is a more common cause of death in the UK than testicular and cervical cancer combined so ‘early detection’ saves lives. At Peppermint Dental Centre we use every check up appointment to thoroughly inspect all of the soft tissues in and around the mouth.
Common early symptoms in the mouth are non-healing ulcers, red or white patches or any other unusual changes inside the mouth.
Common risk factors are smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, chewing tobacco or a poor diet… “If in doubt – get yourself checked out!” |
